Return Goblin FAQ

Questions about Amazon return windows, drop-off deadlines, and how the goblin's reminders work. Short version: forward an Amazon order to track@returngoblin.com and you'll get nudged before the return window closes — then again before the drop-off deadline if you start the return. No app, no login.

What is Return Goblin?

A free service that watches the two deadlines that lose people refunds on Amazon: the return window (start a return in time) and the drop-off (hand the package over in time so Amazon doesn't cancel the return). You forward your order, the goblin works out the deadlines and emails you before each one — so you don't lose money to a missed return.

How does it work?

Forward your Amazon order confirmation or shipment email to track@returngoblin.com and the goblin tracks the return window — a heads-up about nine days out, and a final call two days before it closes. Once you actually start a return on Amazon, forward the "Return request confirmed" email too and the goblin shifts gears to the drop-off date: another nudge about nine days out, two days before, and on the day itself if the package still hasn't been handed over.

Can I forward an order with multiple items?

Yes. Forward the whole order and the goblin tracks each item separately — every item gets its own return-window estimate, since categories like electronics, apparel, and baby gear can close on different days. One forward covers them all, and cancelling reminders for the order stops every item in it.

Is it free?

Yes. No subscription, no payment.

Do I need to install an app or create an account?

No app and no login. It works entirely over email — forward an order and you're set.

Do you read my inbox?

No. The goblin only sees the individual emails you choose to forward to it. It reads the order, not your inbox.

What if Amazon's return date is different from your reminder?

Amazon's date wins, always. The return-window reminders are best-effort estimates from Amazon's published category windows — confirm the official date in Your Orders. The drop-off reminders use the date Amazon stated in your return confirmation, so they match what Amazon told you.

How long do I have to return an Amazon item?

Most items: 30 days from delivery. Baby gear gets 90 days, and holiday orders usually get an extended window. See the full Amazon return policy guide.

Do Amazon Prime Day purchases get an extended return window?

No — Prime Day deals follow Amazon's standard window (most items 30 days from delivery), not an extended one. See the Amazon Prime Day return policy.

How do I stop reminders?

Every reminder and receipt includes a one-tap link to cancel reminders for that order. One click and the goblin goes quiet.
